GDPR Compliance Documentation#
1. Introduction#
This document outlines the compliance measures taken by our research project in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are committed to protecting the personal data of individuals and ensuring transparency in our data processing activities.
2. Purpose of Data Collection#
We collect and store personal data associated with publications in public interest and for research purposes. The goal of our research is to improve the findability of publications and facilitate the reuse of published materials. Hence, we index publications in our community and store for example names of authors associated with publications to make the publications better findable.
3. Legal Basis for Data Processing#
The processing of personal data in this resource is based on:
Article 6(1)(e) GDPR – Performance of a task carried out in the public interest.
Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – Legitimate interest in facilitating research and improving the accessibility and reusability of publications.

The types of personal data related to publications we collect include:
Name of the author(s) or contributor(s)
Affiliation(s) and institutional details
Contact details (if publicly available)
Metadata associated with publications
5. Data Storage and Security#
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including:
Only authorized personnel can modify the data
Regular data integrity checks where applicable
6. Data Retention#
We retain personal data for long-term to make publications findably by our community. Periodic reviews of stored data will be conducted to ensure integrity of our data and compliance with GDPR principles.
Right to object (Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR)#
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of data concerning you which is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR (data processing in the public interest).
If an individual wishes to have their personal data removed from our records, they may:
